Protecting your people, business and data doesn’t have to be spooky. That’s where Toyota Connected’s InfoSec team comes into play, especially during the month of October.
Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an annual campaign held in October to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity. The InfoSec team uses this time as another way to engage team members in the critical role they play in protecting themselves and our business from cyber threats.
InfoSec hosted a variety of activities this year, including an in-depth talk on the impact that quantum computing has on the future of encryption, a virtual game day where teams completed exercises that developed practical skills in cloud security on AWS, and an informative session on how team members can protect their personal security online. The month culminated with a Halloween-themed expo where InfoSec engineers shared tips and treats (no tricks!) when it comes to safe online practices and proactive security measures.
Our goal is to empower and equip our team members with knowledge and tools to stay safe in our digital world.
